Application

MIBC is an excellent medium boiling point solvent. It is mainly used as the solvent of dye, petroleum, rubber, resin, paraffin, nitrocellulose and ethyl cellulose, and as the inert solvent of nitrocellulose paint. It can increase the luster and evenness of the paint, improve the reddening performance of the paint, and be used as the solvent in the manufacture of lubricating oil additives. It can be used as raw material of organic synthesis, mineral flotation agent, such as extracting silicon and copper sulfate; it can also be used as brake fluid.
